Keller Rohrback P.L.C. Investigates Illnesses Related to Consumption of Cantaloupe Contaminated With Listeria

PHOENIX, Sept. 23, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Attorney Advertising. Keller Rohrback P.L.C. (www.krclassaction.com) announces that it is investigating illnesses related to the consumption of Rocky Ford cantaloupe shipped to Arizona that was contaminated with listeria. Recently, Jensen Farms of Colorado recalled its Rocky Ford cantaloupes, some of which were distributed in Arizona. Additionally, the Food and Drug Administration confirmed that it found listeria in samples of the Farms' Rocky Ford-brand cantaloupe that it obtained from a Denver-area store and on equipment and cantaloupe samples taken from the Farms' packing facility.

Listeriosis is a serious infection caused by eating contaminated foods. A person with listeriosis may develop flu-like symptoms such as a fever, muscle aches, and sometimes nausea or diarrhea. Additionally, if the infection spreads to the nervous system, a person may suffer from headaches, a stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, or convulsions.

If you or someone you know became ill after consuming the contaminated Rocky Ford cantaloupe, or you would like more information regarding our investigation, please contact paralegal Jennifer Tuato'o or attorneys Mark Samson or Mike Woerner at (800) 776-6044 or via email at consumer@kellerrohrback.com.
