WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 27, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cyalume Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:CYLU) today announced a three-year contract renewal in which it will be the exclusive supplier of chemiluminescent products to Dönges GmbH & Co. KG (Dönges), Cyalume's German distribution partner and the supplier to the German Federal Office of Defense Technology & Procurement (BWB). Dönges has been distributing Cyalume's products to the BWB since 2008. During that time, the BWB increased its efforts to comply with environmental regulations and selected Cyalume's phthalate-free light sticks for exclusive use in 2010.

Under the contract, Cyalume will supply assorted products, including six-inch light sticks of varying colors and light spectrums. The light sticks will be used to facilitate nighttime training, as well as for search and rescue exercises and missions.
The light sticks will be produced at Cyalume Technologies SAS, Cyalume's wholly owned subsidiary, located in Aix-en-Provence, France.
