Lund, September 28, 2011 - Anoto Group AB (publ.) has decided to appoint Stein Revelsby as new CEO, succeeding Torgny Hellström who has completed a re-structuring of the company. Stein Revelsby has been CEO of Norden Technology and is a member of the Anoto board since 2005. He will assume his role as CEO on October 1, 2011.
Torgny Hellström has been general counsel of Anoto since 2004 and took on the role as CEO in July 2010 to lead a re-structuring, cost reduction and strategic review of the company, which now has been completed.
Stein Revelsby has been instrumental in defining the new strategic direction that includes the recently announced acquisition of Destiny Wireless, one of Anoto’s most successful partners within business solutions, and the joint venture with Korean company Pen Generations Inc. for product and business development in Asia.
“Stein Revelsby is the right person to lead Anoto in its next phase, not only because of his in depth knowledge of Anoto technology but also because of his thorough understanding of the needs of partners and end-users. Stein Revelsby (49) has 20 years of experience in international high tech companies. He has a long history with Anoto, going back to 1996, as one of two angel investors in the company. He has followed the company closely since then and was appointed member of the Anoto board in 2005. Stein Revelsby holds a Master in Business and Economics from the Norwegian School of Management. Stein will remain a member of the Anoto board.
