Westinghouse Solar Expands Sales Channels to Electrical Distributors

Plug and Play AC Panels are a Natural Line Extension for Electricians and Other Contractors

CAMPBELL, Calif., Sept. 29, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Westinghouse Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq:WEST), a designer and manufacturer of solar power systems, today announced the availability of its award winning solar power systems through the electrical distributor channel, beginning with two new relationships: Wolff Bros. Supply, Inc. and Morrison Supply Company.

Morrison Supply Company has 80 stocking distribution locations and 30 showrooms throughout Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Wolff Bros, Supply, Inc. has 11 locations in Northern Ohio.

"The simplicity of Westinghouse Solar 235 watt AC panels makes them the perfect solution for electrical contractors who are offering solar to their existing and new customers. With over 700,000 electricians in the US, there will be a virtual army of new entrants into the solar installation industry. Moreover, the lower equipment costs that we are able to offer is already stimulating homeowner demand," said Barry Cinnamon, CEO of Westinghouse Solar.

Westinghouse Solar Power Systems provide integrated racking, wiring, grounding and micro-inverters. "The reduced parts count make it easier for us to inventory and offer to our customers who are currently selling solar, and to the growing group of electrical contractors entering the solar arena each day," said Enrique Espinoza, Renewable Energy Manager for Morrison Supply Company.

"We formed this relationship with Westinghouse Solar after having first-hand experience installing the Westinghouse Solar product. We are adding a solar division to the business which was started in the 60's, and Westinghouse Solar has the perfect solar product to build our new division around," said George Wolff, Vice President of Sales for Wolff Bros.
