Angel Flight Southeast Raffle Winner Takes Flight in Stallion 51's Mustang

KISSIMMEE, FL--(Marketwire - Oct 6, 2011) - Angel Flight Southeast recently teamed up with Stallion 51 Corporation to raise funds for their humanitarian operation by raffling a flight in Stallion 51's Mustang. Hundreds of people from all over the country bought tickets hoping to win a hands-on orientation flight. The winner was announced at the AOPA Summit September 23, 2011. Angel Flight Southeast volunteer pilot, Jim Jordan from Merritt Island was the lucky winner and took to the skies on October 3rd for his P-51 Mustang flight.

Jim Jordan is one of 650 volunteer pilots who utilize their own aircraft, fuel and time to provide free air transportation to medical facilities for people who cannot afford, or are unable to travel on public transportation. Angel Flight Southeast and its group of all volunteer pilots fly over 1,500 missions per year. Jim Jordan has flown over 50 flights himself in the 5 years he has been part of the 501(c)3 organization. Jim often flies in the early morning hours to the Keys to bring patients to Gainesville for treatment and back again before going to work at Cape Canaveral as an engineer.

Jim flew to Kissimmee Airport (KISM) with his friend and co-pilot Cameron Moore as well as wife Terri who often accompanies him on his Angel Flight missions. Terri is a flying "Florence Nightingale" during the flight utilizing her skills as a trained nurse practitioner when needed.

"This is a dream come true for me," said Mr. Jordan. "As a private pilot, I still believe the P-51 is one of the most beautiful and powerful airplanes to ever take to the skies. And as a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight Southeast, I am so proud to contribute to such an important organization."

Stallion 51 Corporation was pleased to partner with Angel Flight Southeast, an organization that has helped so many families and veterans for over 27 years. Funds raised during the Mustang Flight Raffle will support their mission and assist in coordinating over 3,000 free flights each year.
