ActionView International, Inc. Discusses Next WCFC Event

CORONA DEL MAR, Calif., Oct. 6, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ActionView International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AVEW) today announced that the next WCFC event will be held January 20, 2012 in Orem, Utah. The event will feature two, simultaneous 8-man tournaments to determine the WCFC champions in both the 170-pound and heavyweight classes. The event will be broadcast live at www.wcfc.com for fans around the world.

Joe Wooten, CEO of ActionView, discussed the return to the tournament format for WCFC, "We received an overwhelming response to our 155-pound tournament from online viewers, live attendees and the athletes themselves.  Seeing an entire tournament unfold over the course of one night created amazing energy, with the winner having every right to claim the WCFC belt. As a company, we've decided to continue in this vein and determine all of the WCFC belt holders through tournament competition." In discussing the 8-man format, Mr. Wooten added, "While we loved the 16-man tournament, the event took over 5 hours with ensuring that all the fighters had adequate rest between rounds.  Also, filling 16 spots has the potential to dilute the talent pool and create mismatches. An 8-man tournament lets us limit participation to the best fighters and having two weight classes gives the fighters more chance to rest without having to schedule intermissions."

The January 20th event will be held at Utah Valley University Event Center in Orem, Utah—a large capacity event center 45-minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and five minutes from neighboring Brigham Young University. Tickets will be available at the box office and through wcfc.com.

Mr. Wooten also discussed the FightNow TV contract and other business opportunities for WCFC, "We have finishing production on the first 2-hour show for FightNow TV and have an agreement to provide seven additional one-hour shows. With the national reach of FightNow TV and the ability to monetize this contract through advertising revenues, we have shifted the focus of WCFC towards generating fight content that meets the exacting criteria of national television. This includes shooting all WCFC events in hi-definition and having innovative, exciting content such as tournament-style programming. Unfortunately, this also means we've had to temporarily shelve some of our expansion plans, including events in Canada and broadcasting on Telemundo, to better manage our resources. We hope to refocus on these opportunities in early 2012."
