Amsterdam, October 26, 2011 - SMARTRAC N.V., a leading developer,
manufacturer, and supplier of RFID transponders, announced that the company
from today's perspective expects to be able to restart production in
Thailand in the course of January 2012. Based on the current planning, the
company furthermore assumes that total production capacity of the Group
will also be re-established in the course of January 2012.

Until then, the company will make use of its global production network and
relocate production capacity to other locations to serve customers.

Industrial Estate and the surroundings is still at a high level. The ground
floors of the company's five production facilities are still underwater up
to approximately 2.5 meters. The production environment, equipment, and
materials upstairs are still unaffected by the high-water.
