The percentage of the voting rights of BlackRock, Inc. in RWE AG exceeded
the threshold of 5% on 24 October 2011 and amounts to 5.01% (26,202,241
voting shares) on that day. All voting rights are attributable to
BlackRock, Inc. pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6, sent. 2 WpHG.
