Black Diamond Hires Brian Mecham as Director North America Sales


SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 28, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Black Diamond, Inc. (Nasdaq:BDE) (the "Company" or "Black Diamond"), a leading global innovator in climbing, skiing and mountain sports equipment, has hired Brian Mecham as director of North America sales for its Black Diamond brand.

Mecham comes to Black Diamond from Patagonia, where he served as the western regional sales manager since 2002. Mecham's history with Black Diamond begins in 1994, where he served as its retail sales manager before moving to a sales representative role from 1997-2001.
