Wirecard AG: Strong third quarter, previous EBITDA 2011 forecast

Aschheim (Munich), November 17, 2011 Wirecard AG has reported successful
business in the first nine months. Consolidated revenues increased in the
third quarter of 2011 by 19.2 percent from EUR 70.9 million to EUR 84.5
million. EBITDA lifted by 20.8 percent to EUR 23.2 million (Q3/2010: EUR
19.2 million).
In the first nine months of 2011, consolidated revenues increased by 19.3
percent from EUR 194.7 million to EUR 232.4 million. Despite the one-off
extraordinary factors totaling EUR 5.2 million, which were incurred in the
first six months of 2011, EBITDA in the first nine months lifted 11.1
percent to EUR 58.6 million. Had it not been for these one-off expenses,
EBITDA would have increased by 21.1 percent. Earnings per share (basic)
increased from EUR 0.40 to EUR 0.42.
Cash flow from operating activities (adjusted for transaction volumes of a
transitory nature) increased during the first nine months of 2011 to EUR
44.1 million (9M 2010: EUR 38.5 million).
Wirecard AG's successful business growth was based on the market's positive
growth and the migration to outsourcing as well as the group's innovative
range of products and solutions.
The transaction volume processed using the Wirecard platform increased in
the first nine months of 2011 by 23 percent compared to the same period of
the previous year to EUR 11.2 billion.
Outlook
'We believe that our successful business will continue in the fourth
quarter. In addition, we are convinced, that the eCommerce market will
continue to enjoy sustained growth, despite the fact that the European
economic outlook is clouding,' commented Dr. Markus Braun, Wirecard AG's
CEO.
The Board of Management of Wirecard AG has narrowed its previous EBITDA
forecast for fiscal year 2011 (EUR 81 to 89 million) to EUR 83 to 89
million.
