The I-10 West hotel is joining forces with two great programs: Habitat for Humanity and Room in the Inn, an initiative from TMI Hospitality that provides free guest rooms to those visiting loved ones in hospitals, treatment centers and nursing homes on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
This fall, staff at the Texas Energy Corridor hotel were led by General Manager Mel Bullard in their efforts to build a Habitat for Humanity home for a family in need in Fresno, TX. "So many folks give us the opportunity to provide them with a temporary home when they're visiting the Houston area," Bullard said. "By working with Habitat for Humanity, we got the chance to build a permanent home for a family in need."
The team included members from each department at the Energy Corridor hotel. "It was very rewarding to know that we helped to make a difference," Bullard said, "and I'm proud that we did it as a team. It was a lot of hard work, but we had a lot of fun, and we can't wait to do it again next year."
