Lockheed Martin Added to Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index


NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. will be added to the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index, Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, announced today.

The addition of Lockheed Martin (Industrial Goods & Services, (NYSE:LMT) ) follows the removal of DPL Inc. (Utilities, (NYSE:DPL) ), which is in the process of being acquired by AES Corp. (Utilities, (NYSE:AES) ).

Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security company that employs about 126,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The Corporation's 2010 sales from continuing operations were $45.8 billion.

All changes in the Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index will be effective before the open of trading on November 25, 2011.

The Dow Jones U.S. Select Dividend Index tracks the top 100 highest dividend-paying U.S. companies derived from the Dow Jones U.S. Index, which covers approximately 95% of U.S. market capitalization.
