From 2012 Liepājas Autobusu parks will carry by 36% more passengers in Liepāja. Liepājas Autobusu parks made contract with Liepāja City Council on provision of public transport services in Liepāja from 1 January 2012. Validity period of the contract is till 31 December 2013 or till the winner of a new competition on provision of public transport services in Liepāja is established.
Due to increase in the volume of carriage Liepājas Autobusu parks made contract on the purchase of 12 additional buses till 20 December 2011. Total contract amount is 155 000 EUR which is equivalent 108 935 LVL. The final payment date is on 20 of December, 2011.
At the moment the company has bought 8 Volvo buses. The purchase of buses was performed by the means of the company’s own capital.
