ChinaCache Announces Opening of North America R&D Center

Silicon Valley-Based Center to Focus on Development of ChinaCache's Next-Generation Network Services


BEIJING, Dec. 5, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd., ("ChinaCache" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:CCIH), a leading provider of content delivery network services in China, today announced the opening of its North America R&D center in Silicon Valley.

As part of the Company's overall R&D program, the new center will focus on developing ChinaCache's next-generation content-aware network services and provide additional resources for ChinaCache's North American customers.

ChinaCache's Chief Architect Dr. Alexei G. Tumarkin will lead the new R&D center. During his career, Dr. Tumarkin has developed seven patents related to content distribution, Global Server Load Balance and TCP optimization. Prior to joining ChinaCache, Mr. Tumarkin worked as Vice President of Engineering and Technology and Chief Technology Officer of CDNetworks. In addition, he headed product research and development at Cisco System, Inc. and was co-founder and Vice President of R&D at Netli, leading his team in the development of Global Server Load Balance.
