Notice of Upcoming Events in the Genium INET External Test Environment (14/11)

This IT Notice is aimed at all users currently testing in preparation for the Genium INET migration of Commodities members.

Please be advised of the following events that are upcoming in the external test environment:

1) December 2011 Cascading (provide user opportunity for testing cascade events)

2) External Test Maintenance (scheduled the 4th January, all trades and positions will be deleted)

1) December 2011 Cascading

Members are reminded that an upcoming cascade event will occur in the external test environment on the 28th & 30th of December 2011 as specified in the below table. (these cascade events will mirror current day production)

Testing during this period will be important for some members and ISV’s as it will provide an opportunity to confirm readiness of systems and processes for handling cascade events.

Please note that any members who will be testing the cascade event during this period should contact commodities.geniuminet@nasdaqomx.com and register intent as soon as possible, this will help ensure the appropriate support and follow up.  

This is not a mandatory test.

2) External Test Maintenance (4^th January 2012)

Maintenance update: In order to prepare for the upcoming release of Genium INET 2.0.0216, the Genium INET Ext4 environment will be upgraded during a whole day maintenance window on January 4^th, 2012 together with a GCF3 refresh. This means that members will not be able to use the test system during the whole of Wednesday, January 4^th, 2012.

Reference data update: In order to include the Natural Gas market in the Ext4 environment the reference data in the test environment will be copied from Production as of Dec 10, 2011. The migrated reference data in Genium INET External Test 4 will be distributed over OMnet and GCF3. In GCF3 the Genium INET External Test 4 reference data will get new GCF id:s (IdCode in TIP) except orderbook IDs, which will remain the same. Any client application storing reference data historically may need to be refreshed depending on what database keys are used.

If you are using the Genium INET Trading Workstation, please make sure you uncheck the “Restore Cached Static Data” box on the detailed logon screen, after logging on after the upgrade.

Important Information: Please note that all trades and positions will be deleted from Ext4 when the reference data is upgraded, members are advised to not plan overnight clearing tests for January 3^rd to January 4^th.
