SEMDA Conference to Include Free 1:1 Partnering Platform

Early Bird Rates Expire Soon for the Region's Premier Gathering for the Medical Device Industry

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Jan 6, 2012) - SEMDA announced today that it will include 1:1 partnering at its 2012 Conference following a successful introduction in 2011. This valuable tool -- which allows attendees to maximize conference opportunities before, during and after the event -- is available at no additional charge for Conference attendees.

Early registrants for the 2012 SEMDA Conference will benefit in two ways: not only can they save $100 on the cost of registration, but they will have additional exposure on the partnering platform. To register or learn more, visit www.semda.net.

SEMDA is using biopartnering.com™, a powerful Internet platform that lets registered attendees research and identify potential partners, then schedule face-to-face meetings during the conference. The platform was specifically developed for the bioscience industry and has been used globally at conferences since 2004.

With the partnering platform, attendees can:

  • Create a profile for both the individual and their company
  • Search for and research other attending companies/individuals
  • Contact other attendees
  • Schedule one-to-one meetings before arriving at the conference venue
  • Stay informed onsite via SMS, email, and electronic message monitors
  • Schedule last-minute meetings at the venue for optimal networking potential
  • Continue to use the system after the event for up to two months to connect with companies/attendees

"Being able to identify relevant partners and schedule meetings is very beneficial to everyone at the Conference," said David Hartnett, SEMDA President and Vice President of Bioscience/Health IT Industry Development at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. "It's a structured form of networking -- which is always an important component of the Conference -- that received terrific feedback last year. With the platform improvements that have taken place, it should be even better in 2012. We very much appreciate SGS sponsoring this session."
