New Cordless Technology Opens the Door to a Wide Array of Low-Cost Home Control, Security & Automation Devices

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 9, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DSP Group®, Inc. (Nasdaq:DSPG), a leading global provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications at home, and Crow Electronic Engineering Ltd, a leading provider of advanced security and control solutions for the worldwide integrated security market, announced today that the companies will jointly develop DECT Ultra Low Energy (ULE)-based home security, control and automation solutions. Bringing together DSP Group's deep technological expertise along with Crow Group's broad and high quality product portfolio, the solutions will expand the range of new services offered by service providers and retail channels, benefiting from significantly lower deployment costs.

DSP Group's DECT ULE-compliant chipset solutions will be integrated with Crow Group's devices, which include an array of motion sensors, smoke/gas/glass-break detectors, remote-controlled AC sockets and other control devices.
