PRF: Unaudited consolidated turnover of AS Premia Foods, IV quarter and 12 months

The unaudited consolidated turnover of AS Premia Foods of the 12 months of 2011 was 88.3 million euro. Compared to the preceding year, the turnover of the company has grown by 11 million euro, i.e. by 14%. The achieved turnover of Premia exceeded the forecast by 2.8 million euro, i.e. by 3.3%. In the 4th quarter of 2011, the turnover of Premia was 20 million euro, which is 2.2 million euro, i.e. 12%, more than in the preceding year.

While summarising the whole year, the turnover of Premia Foods has increased in all business segments and target markets. The greatest input to the turnover growth was generated by the fish business segment, which added additional turnover of 7.2 million euro, the fish business segment was followed by the ice cream business segment with the additional turnover of 2.4 million euro and frozen goods business segment with the additional turnover of 0.8 million euro.

While comparing the turnover results of the business segments, in the 4th quarter the best results were generated in the fish business segment, which was the greatest contributor to the turnover and turnover growth. The signs of growth were also notable in the frozen goods business segment, stable results were generated in the ice cream business segment.

In 2011, Premia’s ice cream business segment generated altogether a yearly turnover of 28.8 million euro and 9%, i.e. 2.4 million euro, growth in turnover. While summarising the year, the greatest input to the additional turnover in this business segment was generated in Estonian, Latvian and Russian markets.

The sale of frozen goods continued to grow also in the 4th quarter and resulted in the turnover of 5.1 million euro, while compared to 2010, the growth of turnover was 4.8%. While summarising the whole year, this business segment achieved turnover growth of 4% and turnover of 20.6 million euro, whereas the greatest part of the growth was generated in Latvia and Lithuania.

The turnover of fish and fish products business segment increased in the 4th quarter by 20% if compared to the same period previous year and granted the turnover of 11.2 million euro. While summarising the year, this business segment earned the turnover of 37 million euro and the turnover growth was 24%. In 2011, the turnover of the fish and fish products business segment formed 42% of the total turnover of Premia and was the greatest contributor into the turnover growth. 5.5 million euro of the total 7.2 million euro additional turnover earned in 2011 was generated in the Finnish market and the rest mainly in the Estonian market.

While summarising the whole year, the greatest increase in turnover was achieved in the Finnish market (21%), the Estonian market was the second runner up with 17%, followed by Latvian and Russian markets with 7% each and Lithuania with 4% turnover growth. In the 4th quarter 2011, the greatest growth was generated in the Estonian market where, if compared to the 4th quarter 2010, the increase of turnover was 20%, the Estonian market was followed by the Lithuanian market with the turnover growth of 16%.
