Penny Worley Auctioneers Conducts Online Auction of Antiques, Office Furniture, Equipment and Decor From North Carolina and South Carolina Locations


CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 24, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Penny Worley Auctioneers (www.worleyauctioneers.com) announces the online auction of antiques, office furniture, decor and equipment from three locations in North Carolina and South Carolina, according to Jerry Jenkins.

"All the assets will sell to the highest bidders during this online auction," Jenkins said. "We have over 330 lots of items up for bid, including several pieces of fine antique furniture."

Among the fine antiques are: a Renaissance Revival period solid walnut ornately carved sideboard server with medallion busts, lion's heads, dragons, allegorical depictions of war and peace, acanthus and other foliage as well as brass pulls; a Victorian solid wood trestle table with wood grain inlay, large hairy claw feet, fluted sides with scroll work and carved acanthus and foliage ornamentation throughout; and a Biedermeier period 'Secretaire a Abbantant' secretary desk with dovetailed drawer and leaf inlayed with black tooled leather and brass escutcheons.

Also up for bid is an American solid oak drop-front secretary desk with stunning wood-grain finish; an American Rococo Revival solid wood sideboard buffet finished with crotch mahogany or rosewood veneer; an American Empire Revival solid wood bureau in vibrant burl oak veneer; and an American Empire Revival solid wood buffet with crotch mahogany veneer, elegant scroll work, wheat carvings on apron and inscribed "Taylor".

Other pieces that will sell to the highest bidder include: a solid wood bureau with burl oak veneer and marble top; a solid wood vintage credenza; a solid wood vintage cabinet with three-shelf leaded glass door bookcase; and a Birmingham Silver Company vintage hand-chased silver-on-copper tea set marked with crown and "BSC" in Gothic letters.

Also at auction is banking equipment, electronics, computers, office furniture and fireproof file cabinets.
