Tactical Communications Group Announces Record 2011 Booking Results, New DOD Product Certification Initiative, and Executive Promotions

Strong Global Product Demand, US DOD Certification Programs and Organizational Changes Optimally Position TCG for Accelerated Future Growth

TEWKSBURY, MA--(Marketwire - Jan 31, 2012) - Tactical Communications Group (TCG), the leading independent provider of tactical data link (TDL) software solutions for military test, training, simulation and operational applications worldwide, today announced record new booking results for 2011. The record level of new orders received in 2011 was primarily attributable to continued strong US and international end user acceptance of the Company's three tactical data link product offerings, LinkPRO™, Battlefield Operations Support System (BOSS™) and Ground Tactical Data Link System (GTS™), as well as growing contributions from the Company's LinkPRO partners who use TCG's LinkPRO software as the data link processing engine within their command and control solutions offered to their global military customers.

In addition, the Company announced that it has recently commenced the US DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) for TCG products. DIACAP certification is an intensive and stringent requirement for all operational systems that operate on a DOD network which verifies that the operational systems utilized by the DOD for critical applications, such as TCG's, are highly secure and reliable. With the increasing need for operational data link solutions to interoperate securely across service and national boundaries, and in accordance with rigid military standards, this certification serves to ensure the availability, integrity, security and efficacy of TCG's products for its global warfighter customers.

Finally, in order to optimally position the company for future accelerated growth, TCG announced the promotion of Michael Hiney to Senior Vice President and General Manager, Nick Kropp to Vice President, Virginia Office and Worldwide Field Operations, and Frank Newark to Vice President of Engineering. Each executive has significant tactical data link industry expertise and experience at TCG, and all have been instrumental in the definition and development of TCG's innovative TDL product line, in growing TCG's worldwide installed base of military customers and in cultivating relationships with new prime partners.

"With our innovative, proven product portfolio, excellent global brand recognition, increasing prime partnerships, worldwide customer installed base and experienced and growing team, we are extremely well-positioned for continued growth for 2012 and beyond," said Ed Durkin, TCG's President and CEO. "With military customers across the globe looking to gain greater network, operating and training efficiencies, state of the art, lower cost, quick to field, interoperable, COTS data link solutions such as those offered by TCG will be key to addressing these needs. With the convergence of these user needs, our unique COTS solutions, and our growing distribution capacity, we are very excited entering 2012 and look forward to successfully serving the needs of our growing global warfighter customer base."
