Ted Chumas Joins Creative Information Systems as New CEO/COO


MANCHESTER, N.H., Feb. 7, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Creative Information Systems, Inc. (CIS) is pleased to announce the appointment of software industry veteran Theodore (Ted) Chumas as Chief Executive and Chief Operations Officer. Mr. Chumas will be responsible for setting the company's strategic direction and managing day-to-day operations.

Concurrent with Mr. Chumas' hire, founder and President Doug Manter will continue to spearhead technical direction and product innovation at CIS as the Chief Technology Officer. Executive Vice President, Kevin St. John has shifted his role to Chief Sales Officer and will be responsible for sales and business development.

Mr. Chumas brings over 25 years of computer sales and operations experience to CIS, encompassing both start up firms and established industry leaders. For the past 13years, Ted was a principal and partner with the Ascentage Group, a firm that facilitates the growth and development needs of high-tech ventures including consulting in the areas of strategic partnering, product management and sales and marketing strategies.

Prior to Ascentage, Ted was vice president of Sales at Framework Technologies, where he built a sales team and developed  the company's sales and marketing strategic and tactical plans. He also played an integral part in Framework's growth during its early stage as a startup.

Before joining Framework, Ted was the vice president of the Professional Solutions Division at Softdesk, Inc., which merged with Autodesk, Inc. in early 1997. During his eight-year tenure at Softdesk, Ted served in a number of roles, including director of Product Management and director of North American Sales. Ted's leadership strengths contributed to the company's growth and establishment as a leading developer of architecture, engineering and construction software for AutoCAD (developed by Autodesk).

Ted holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from NY State Maritime College.
