New President to Pohjola Asset Management Limited

Pohjola Asset Management Limited, a subsidiary of Pohjola Bank plc, is appointing a new President: Mr Karri Alameri (48), Chief Investment Officer at OP Life Assurance Company Ltd, will begin on 10 February 2012.

Pohjola Asset Management Limited's Board has relieved Mr Mikko Koskimies, the current President, of his duties. At the same time, Pohjola Bank plc's Board has also relieved him of his Group Executive Committee membership, replacing him with Mr Alameri.

Mr Alameri's previous positions include Deputy Managing Director of Danske Capital and Deputy Managing Director of Mandatum Asset Management Ltd.

"Mr Alameri's expertise and vision and his long and wide experience in the financial sector are perfectly suited to Pohjola's and OP-Pohjola Group's desire to develop their asset management business. He knows OP-Pohjola Group well and has been in charge of investment operations for many years," says Mikael Silvennoinen, President and CEO of Pohjola Bank plc.

At this juncture, Pohjola Bank plc's Board of Directors has also decided to bring down the incentive schemes based on ownership in Pohjola Asset Management Limited and Pohjola Corporate Finance Ltd already in 2012 instead of 2013 as previously announced.
