NASDAQ OMX Commodities Genium INET will be launched 5 March 2012, please see exchange information 04/12. The weekend 3-4th of March will feature mandatory activities for all members. Details on the launch preparation activities, the launch weekend plan and the roll back framework have been published on the member extranet. Additional activities and plans will be updated through exchange notices or member IT notices if necessary.

Exchange launch communications
For each member, the Genium INET Commodities project manager/main migration contact is regarded as the launch manager. The launch weekend contact and e-mail list contains all contacts earlier received from all members, Independent Software Vendors, brokers, settlement banks, market data vendors, service bureaus and data centres. If you want additional persons being included in the exchange launch communications, please send the name of the contacts to commodities.geniuminet@nasdaqomx.com including e-mail address and phone number at the latest 13 February.
Key launch preparations
- Members should use the coming weeks to connect from their upcoming production environments towards the NASDAQ OMX Genium INET production environment, which is available for telnet testing for all applicable protocols. Please note that it will not be possible to log on to the production environment before the go live weekend. NASDAQ OMX Commodities strongly recommends that these tests are done as early as possible, please verify your applicable protocols and report your results to commodities.geniuminet@nasdaqomx.com no later than by February 20th, 2012.
- No later than by February 20th, all members need to have signed up for mandatory confidence testing on the launch weekend Saturday 3rd of March, by sending an email commodities.geniuminet@nasdaqomx.com. Please confirm what person, complete with full contact details, is available between 11 CET and 17.30 CET on Saturday 3rd of March. Please note the following: If a member does not register, that will mean the member regards the confidence test a success. If the member has registered, but is not reachable or does not provide a confidence test report, that means the member regards the confidence test a success.
- FIX users are reminded of the need to order production fix sessions and production passwords as they will not be migrated over from External Test System 4. FIX users have to be ordered no later than 20th February, thereafter additional orders cannot be guaranteed before post Go Live. Please contact memberservices@nasdaqomx.com for more information.
- Please download Go Live candidates of the trading applications from the member extranet under the Go Live section and initiate necessary internal procedures for using these applications in your production environments. Go Live candidates of all trading and clearing applications that require a local installation have been published on the member extranet.
- If you need GCF production data from Go Live and onwards, please send a request to operator@nasdaqomx.com. If you are a FIX protocol user, this might be relevant for you.
- Members that wish to use CW2 over extranet are kindly asked to contact memberservices@nasdaqomx.com
- For users of GCF, basic data load will be available during Saturday. Please contact operator@nasdaqomx.com
The test system availability

Timeline
No later than Week of February 20th – Production environment connectivity testing
To ensure that Members have properly configured their trading applications, the production environment is open for testing of connectivity. However, please note that login will not be possible before the confidence testing on launch Saturday, 3rd of March. Please ensure connectivity tests (telnet) are done for all applicable protocols.
Launch Weekend initiated Friday March 2nd
A summary of the activities and timeline is outlined below; the detailed presentation is published on the member web under the section “Go Live”.
Friday March 2nd NASDAQ OMX will publish an IT-notice and send email to all contacts about the migration initiated after CLICK/SECUR production closing Friday evening.
The production system will have data migrated from a CLICK/SECUR production database, March 2nd, 2012. All current trader IDs from CLICK/SECUR production will be migrated.
After the closing of the markets the launch preparations will be started and evening jobs will be initiated. Please note, the CLICK/SECUR production and CLICK/SECUR test environments will be shut down after the commodities market closes Friday evening, and will not open again.
Members, Brokers, Settlement Banks, Independent Software Vendors, Market Data Vendors, Service Bureaus and Data Centers should initiate their migration activities according to their launch plans.
Saturday March 3rd – Confidence Test
At around 11.00 CET on Saturday March 3rd, NASDAQ OMX will have completed the migration and open the production environment for connectivity and reference data download. A message to start the Genium INET Commodities confidence test will be sent to all member contacts as well as an IT notice that will be published, and the web will be updated.
Members and Data Centers should connect and login with all applicable applications and download reference data to prepare for Monday morning. All markets will be in closed state. The confidence test should be completed latest by 15.00 CET.
After a completed and successful confidence test each member should send an email to commodities.geniuminet@nasdaqomx.com with a confirmation, with your User IDs used, that confidence test has been completed and that the member is ready to go live.
NASDAQ OMX will use the time after 15.00 CET to compile all member confirmations, solve any remaining connectivity issues and make the decision to proceed and go live. NASDAQ OMX will not close the system for connectivity until this process has been completed.
Latest 17.30 CET NASDAQ OMX Commodities will send a message to the contact mail list, an IT notice will be published to confirm that the migration has been completed and NASDAQ OMX and members are ready to go live on Monday morning.
Genium INET Commodities will be available for logins no later than 06:30 CET on Monday in case of a successful migration, as any normal production day.
Sunday March 4th – No activities – reserved for roll back
Sunday March 4th is reserved in case a roll back scenario. In case a roll back is necessary this will be communicated no later than 17.30 CET on Saturday.
The roll back framework document is published on the member web.
Monday March 5 – Genium INET Commodities Launch
The Genium INET Commodities system will open as normal, that is, the same schedules currently applicable for current CLICK/SECUR production.
Communication during the launch weekend
For communication NASDAQ OMX will use a combination of e-mail list contacts, exchange/IT notices and updates on the Genium INET member extranet. NASDAQ OMX may also contact individual members for confirmation by mail or phone.
