Quebec Association of Emergency Physicians Provides PEPID to All Members

PEPID Emergency Medicine Provided as a Membership Benefit

MONTREAL, Feb. 10, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PEPID, the top developer of clinical decision-support information and technology for healthcare professionals, has announced a partnership with the Quebec Association of Emergency Physicians (AMUQ) to provide its flagship product, PEPID Emergency Medicine, to all AMUQ members. This partnership provides PEPID to Quebec emergency physicians on any mobile platform, including iPad, iPhone, Android and BlackBerry devices.

PEPID is trusted in every emergency department in Quebec and has been used extensively for the past six years through PEPID Online. This new partnership with AMUQ puts the mobile version of PEPID directly into the hands of emergency physicians throughout the province.

"We are proud AMUQ has chosen to provide its members with the PEPID mobile application as a benefit," says John Wagner, PEPID president. "For the past six years, all emergency physicians have access PEPID in the emergency room with PEPID Online. The addition of mobile access now completes the entire spectrum of point of care delivery and makes our resources available anytime, anywhere."

AMUQ made the decision to provide PEPID to its members after a survey showed overwhelming support to include the application as a benefit of membership.

"This is more than a member benefit," says Dr. Bernard Mathieu, AMUQ president, "Our mission is to develop medical excellence among AMUQ members. The fact that members have chosen overwhelmingly to support this initiative demonstrates our collective commitment to improved patient care for all Quebecers."

AMUQ members receive a one-year subscription of PEPID Emergency Medicine that can be used on any mobile device, including iPhone, iPad, Android or BlackBerry devices. Subscriptions are distributed upon membership renewal, beginning January 2012.

PEPID has provided clinical specialty-focused products since 1994, and offers the most robust medical information resources on the market as well as the best customer service in the industry.
