Double Crown Resources Update on Gold Mining Projects and Upcoming Segment on National Television Program

Gold Mining Plans on Bateman and New Property Acquisitions Moving Forward, "Insights with Terry Bradshaw" Television Series to Feature Double Crown Resources

VIRGINIA CITY HIGHLANDS, Nev., Feb. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Double Crown Resources, Inc. (OTCBB:DDCC) (hereinafter, "Double Crown") has the following update for investors on its mining business plans. Additionally, Double Crown will soon be featured in a national television program on developments in the mining industry.

Mining Projects:

Management is currently focused on three objectives regarding Double Crown's gold and mineral mining projects.

First, gold discovery and evaluation work is moving forward at this time on Double Crown's 100% owned Bateman property located in Canada. In January a lake sediment geo-chemical survey was completed on Bateman Lake. Samples were taken through the ice of the lake bottom and assays are pending. This process will indicate if the very broad area anomalous conglomerate extends across the lake. In the past, gold samples up to 82g were taken from the shoreline. Management believes this information will help to interpret the best potential drill sites as well as add to the data of highly favorable gold targets at Bateman.

Initial test drilling to prove-up Double Crown's gold reserves is now being planned to commence in early June at two sites for gold and one site for nickel and other precious metals. Double Crown's intended drill area is only about 1000 meters from that of Valgold (TSX-V:VAL) which has already proven-up over 151,000 ounces of gold to date. Based on all information so far, management anticipates that Double Crown's property will contain a similar or greater gold reserve as Valgold's property, especially since Double Crown will be drilling into the same mineral conglomerate. This area is known as the Shebandowan Greenstone Belt of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Multiple other mining companies have all recently been increasing their activities and operations in the Shebandowan Greenstone Belt in response to the dramatically rising prices for gold and other minerals in the market.

In addition to Bateman, management is now considering the potential acquisition of two more gold properties. Our Advisor on Geology and Mining, Edwin Morrow has recently been investigating an existing and proven gold mine in Montana which is already set-up with permits, mining equipment, infrastructure and needed working resources. Management believes that acquisition of this Montana property may quickly give Double Crown another producing gold source to draw upon. Finally, our management team is also involved in negotiations to acquire a mining property in Guyana, South America, with approximately 3,158 acres of gold mineral claims. There are three concessions located along the Cuyuni River and they include both placer gold potential and adjoining hard rock gold mining sites. Further details on these potential new acquisitions will be announced as they become available.

Television Program Feature:

Management is very pleased to announce that Double Crown has been contacted by the producers of the national television series, "Insights with Terry Bradshaw" for inclusion in an upcoming feature segment titled; "Leading Developments Emerging in the Exploration and Mining Industry," a part of the show's "Global Industry" series. This widely distributed program is hosted by the football legend and well-known broadcaster.
