Military1Click answers the call for action

Military1Click announces their upgraded website, making it even easier to find the resources you need.

Davidsonville, Maryland, Feb. 24, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Military1Click is co-founded and operated by two determined military spouses and moms, Jennifer G. Pilcher, MA CCC-SLP and Kristi H. Hamrick, MBA. Jennifer is the wife of an active duty Navy Officer, Kristi is the wife of an active duty Air Force Officer and they each have two young children. Jen, a Speech-Language Pathologist and Kristi, a financial counselor, combined their personal and professional experiences to create Military1Click in the spring of 2011.  As military spouses for over 31 years combined, moving close to 20 times, experiencing countless deployments spanning through two wars, children all born in different states and always expecting the unexpected, Kristi and Jen know "military life." Although Kristi and Jen only met a few years ago in the DC area, they were both involved as volunteers in their communities at every duty station. They saw and experienced firsthand what works and what doesn’t in the military community.

Their goal with Military1Click is to provide quick and easy access to the newest resources available for the military, their families and those who support our military. They strive to connect the military community with the civilian and corporate world in an extremely user friendly environment. As military spouses with experience living on and off base, they know that the military world and civilian worlds do co-exist and so should the resources. They also realize that support and information needs to be easily accessible by all people who love and know someone in our military. Spouses, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors, employers, churches, kids... are the "Total Force."

Military1Click is divided into eight subject areas including, but not limited to;  Home & Relocation, Finances & Discounts, Jobs & Volunteer and Health & Wellness.  Within these eight categories is a wealth of information for both military and non-military resources.  For example, the Health and Wellness section contains information regarding depression and suicide concerns.  Suicide and suicide attempts in the military are rising and double than the national average.  Many military members and their families are afraid to seek help from within the military in fear of adversely affecting their career.  Therefore, Pilcher and Hamrick developed an area of  military and non-military resources to help these families.

Military spouses, retirees and veterans can also access information regarding job opportunities in 1 click. With unemployment for veterans and military spouses reaching an all time high,  Military1Click works with companies that are dedicated to hire this population.

Hamrick who has moved over 12 times in the last 18 years, knows moving.  She personally crafted the Military1Click moving & relocation and home ownership sections, which are sponsored by New Homes Guide.

Military1Click’s mission is not complete until every military family knows that help, support and compassion are only 1 click away.  www.militaryoneclick.com
