The Spring Home & Garden Show Is Coming to the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi


NOVI, MI--(Marketwire - Mar 9, 2012) - Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan (BIA) is sponsoring the Spring Home & Garden Show, March 30-April 1, 2012, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

Anything and everything you need for your home and garden can be found under one roof. Consumers will walk through 25,000 square feet of landscaped gardens and browse hundreds of home improvement booths and exhibits. Special appearance by "America's Master Handyman" Glenn Haege of WJR.

The Spring Home & Garden Show will host a variety of entertaining seminars and shows, designed to teach attendees useful gardening and home improvement tips and tricks.

  • Grilling gurus Mad Dog & Merrill will share their masterful barbecuing talents through humor and recipes.
  • The "Backyard Theatre" will present informative and interesting seminars on curb appeal and sustainable landscape practices by Michigan Landscape Design Services. The "Bloomsday Preppers" show by Bryan Mitnick will provide an entertaining and animated twist to learning about economic gardening.
  • "Ask the Expert" booths will have garden experts from the Southeast Michigan Nursery & Landscape Association available to answer the toughest gardening questions.
  • Browse the indoor art fair hosted by The Image and Arts Council of Troy. Paintings, pottery and artwork will be for sale and a special art area will allow visitors to create a home and garden mural.
  • Easter flowers, landscape plants and bulbs will be available to purchase from various greenhouse and nursery vendors.

At the show, enter to win valuable giveaways, including the "Find the Gnome" prizes. Enter by filling out coupons and dropping in boxes throughout the show. The Spring Home & Garden Show will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace March 30-April 1 and is open Friday 2-9 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Adult admission (ages 13 and up) is $8; seniors (ages 60 and over) is $7 and children ages 12 and under admitted free! Each family that purchases an admission ticket will receive a 1-year subscription to Better Homes & Gardens magazine.
