INTL FCStone Announces Closure of SEC Investigation, No Enforcement Action


NEW YORK, March 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- INTL FCStone Inc. (Nasdaq: INTL) ("the Company") announced today that it has been informed that the Staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission ("the SEC") has closed its investigation of the Company's subsidiary, FCStone Group, Inc. ("FCStone"), and is not taking enforcement action against FCStone or any of its current or former officers. As originally disclosed by the Company in its March 31, 2011 10-Q filing, the SEC had been investigating FCStone's public disclosures and accounting for losses it expected to incur arising from a single customer energy trading account in 2008-2009, prior to the Company's acquisition of FCStone on September 30, 2009.
