CHARLESTON, S.C., March 27, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Officers of Revolutions Medical Corporation ("Revolutions Medical" or the "Company") (OTCQB:RMCP) were honored guests at the grand opening ceremony of the new production facility of its strategic manufacturing partner, Wuxi Yushou Medical Appliances Co., Ltd. ("Yeso-med") on March 21, 2012. The ceremony was hosted by Yeso-med's top management and directors, and was attended by distinguished guests including Wuxi FDA officials, as well as Wuxi commerce and trade officials. The new 300,000 square foot facility is fully operational with 21 injection molding machines and complete lines of assembly, labeling and packaging.
Earlier this month, Revolutions Medical placed an initial order of 3,000,000 units of the 3ml RevVac™ auto-retractable vacuum safety syringe with Yeso-med. The first units of this order are expected to leave the factory by March 31, 2012. Yeso-med is obligated to complete production of this order on or before April 30, 2012. Revolutions Medical and Yeso-med have also begun production planning for the 1ml RevVac™ safety syringe, which they expect to be available for sale in the third quarter of 2012.
Vincent Olmo, Chief Operating Officer of Revolutions Medical, stated, "The new manufacturing facility in Wuxi, China is capable of supporting both our near-term and long-term supply of the RevVac™ safety syringe. Yeso-med can expand to produce up to 300,000,000 RevVac safety syringes per year at this new location as demand requires and they can do it without sacrificing quality. Our quality team completed a thorough assessment during our visit and came away very impressed with the operational capability and integrity of the Yeso-med team."
