Integral Consulting Welcomes Tyler Gass as Principal and Chief Hydrogeologist


DENVER, April 5, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Science and engineering firm Integral Consulting Inc. welcomes Tyler Gass, P.G., P.Hg., to its Denver-area office as a Principal and Chief Hydrogeologist. With a strong national and international reputation for technical excellence and leadership in the field of hydrogeology, Mr. Gass brings more than 30 years of experience in senior technical and business management roles. A licensed professional geologist and hydrogeologist, he specializes in managing projects conducted under Superfund/CERCLA and RCRA; groundwater resource evaluation and development; and expert testimony and litigation support. 

Mr. Gass' experience ranges from the evaluation and design of village water supply in developing countries to major municipal groundwater supply systems throughout the United States, and includes the investigation and remediation of some of the most complex hazardous waste sites in the nation. Mr. Gass has been a testifying expert on subjects related to karst hydrogeology, groundwater flow, and contaminant fate and transport in a variety of subsurface environments. He has also served as an expert witness for industries on litigation involving groundwater law, groundwater contamination, aquifer restoration, and mineral resource development.

As a former Director of Research for the National Ground Water Association, Mr. Gass testified before several congressional committees and made presentations to a variety of state legislative bodies encouraging the development of rational regulations to protect groundwater quality from solid and hazardous waste disposal. He has performed subsurface site characterization and contaminant assessments at hundreds of hazardous waste sites, and designed and implemented expedient and cost-effective groundwater and soil remediation programs. 

Mr. Gass was appointed to the Army Science Advisory Board in 1994 and served three terms on the Board until 2000. During that time, Mr. Gass was the primary author of a white paper addressing the performance of groundwater remediation systems at Army installations throughout the United States, and he was the Chairman of the Infrastructure and Environment Committee from 1998 to 2000.

Mr. Gass holds a B.A. in Geology from the University of New York and earned his M.S. in Geosciences from the University of Arizona. He has authored more than 100 publications and regularly presents on scientific topics. He will practice out of Integral's Denver-area office.
