SRV and SATO have signed a significant contracting agreement for the construction of three residential projects in the Kalasatama area, Helsinki. The block will comprise a total of 133 housing units, of which 77 will be rental units and 56 owner-occupied units.
The complex includes a gallery building, representing a new kind of housing in which a glass-covered central courtyard will be constructed as a common living space for residents. In addition, apartment houses as well as townhouses with three residential floors and a roof terrace will be built on the block. The housing units will be completed in stages by the end of 2013.
“The SATO project is an excellent example of the new kind of residential options that will be built in the Kalasatama in the coming years. We are enthusiastically involved in the SATA project, which is further step towards creating a new Helsinki. We are currently building in the area commercial services as well as tower buildings, which will be completed later in this decade.
