Angie's List Announces Departure of Scott Brenton, Chief Operating Officer


INDIANAPOLIS, April 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Angie's List, Inc. (Nasdaq:ANGI) announced today that Scott Brenton, Chief Operating Officer, has resigned. Mr. Brenton's resignation will be effective at the end this month. 

"It is with sadness, but also great pride that we are announcing Scott's resignation. We will miss him very much. Nonetheless, we send him off with excitement and pride. He is joining another Angie's List alumnus in building a high-growth technology company here in Indiana. We will be cheering him on," comments Bill Oesterle, Angie's List Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Brenton joined Angie's List in 1999 as Chief Operating Officer.  During his tenure, Angie's List has grown from less than $1 million in revenue to $90 million.

"I've spent 13 years growing Angie's List and couldn't be more proud of what we've accomplished," says Mr. Brenton. "I'm looking forward to Angie's List's continued success."

"Scott has been our COO and he is also our friend. He did extraordinary things at Angie's List, and he will do them in his new role. He will carry us with him on his new adventure," said Mr. Oesterle.

The company plans to restructure the role of COO and incorporate the responsibilities into other positions at the company. Mr. Oesterle continued, "Scott developed some very talented managers. His departure will give them a chance to stretch their legs and show off some of their own skills."
