(MEIT) officials announced today it has successfully completed the recertification audit for the AS9100C, Quality Management Systems – Requirements for Aviation, Space and Defense Organizations. The scope of this recertification includes MEIT's engineering, science and management services, and expands into the MEIT Capitol Region Design Center (The Design Center) in Maryland, in which the scope includes the aforementioned services as well as design service.

This aerospace standard revision, AS9100C, emphasizes process effectiveness and a Quality Management System that is customer focused on providing safe and reliable products/services and meeting or exceeding customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

In addition to the company's AS9100C recertification, MEIT is ISO9001:2008 certified and earned a CMMI ® Maturity Level 3.
