Revamped Am Law Daily and AmericanLawyer.com Launch April 24

NEW YORK, April 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ALM announced that a completely revamped version of The Am Law Daily, the legal industry's leading newsletter, and AmericanLawyer.com, the digital destination based on ALM's flagship publication The American Lawyer, will be launched on April 24.

In a move to widen The Am Law Daily's prominence and circulation within large firms, its content will be expanded under a new paid subscription model designed to make the newsletter a primary news medium for all lawyers within the firms.

AmericanLawyer.com's content will also be expanded and its design simplified to focus on three areas: news, research and law firm profiles. Besides an easier-to-navigate computer interface, versions of the site optimized for tablet computers and smart phones will be available for the first time. Much of the content will become subscription-based, though basic information on AmLaw 200 law firms will continue to be available to non-subscribers.

Users have until June 1 to sign up for continued access to the The Am Law Daily and much of the AmericanLawyer.com site, either as individual subscribers or through firm site licenses.

"We're excited about this new approach, which was inspired by firm managers asking us for a way to push information throughout the firm on a comprehensive and consistent basis," said ALM Group Publisher Scott Pierce. "The combination of newsletter and website under the site subscription model now offers a streamlined and truly mobile way to distribute our unequalled content."
