Colden Enterprises is the Most Recent Dealer to Join Spartan ERV Dealer Network

Colden Management is Aligned With Spartan's Global Strategy for Emergency Response Which Includes an Aggressive New Product/Technology Launch Plan Beginning at FDIC

CHARLOTTE, Mich., April 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spartan ERV, a subsidiary of Spartan Motors (Nasdaq:SPAR), today announced that Colden Enterprises, which sells, repairs and refurbishes fire apparatus in western New York, has become the most recent dealer to join Spartan ERV.

Spartan's new global ER (emergency response) strategy which includes one brand, one leader and global relationships to augment innovation and growth, is clearly resonating with the distribution network. The first public showcase for Spartan ERV is April 19-21 in Indianapolis, Ind., at FDIC (Fire Department Instructor Conference), North America's largest ER trade show, where the company will display 13 new products and technologies.

"The agreement with Colden is one of the initial components of our redefined global emergency response (ER) blueprint.  This forms the foundation for Spartan's sustained expansion in North American and worldwide marketplace," said Dennis Schneider, president of Spartan ER. "Colden's Western New York location (in Kenmore, a suburb of Buffalo), and their prominence in our industry blend to make them an ideal partner  to help establish the Spartan ERV footprint throughout the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region."

Colden Enterprises was founded in 1977, a start-up with a one-bay garage in Kenmore. Today, Colden headquarters is a 23,000 square-foot facility with 35 employees.

"We are aligning with Spartan ERV to assure our future growth," says Kevin Brooks, Jr., Colden Enterprises' dealer principal. "Colden has an ever-increasing demand for ER services and equipment, and after seeing their impressive plans to expand product offerings, we're confident this type of foresight and corporate leadership will be a vital component of our future development and growth."
