Rovi Extends Interactive Program Guide Patent License Agreement With NDS

The Multi-Year Extension Includes Rights to Mobile and Online Platforms


SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 25, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rovi Corporation (Nasdaq:ROVI) today announced that it has extended its license agreement with NDS Group Ltd, a leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, for Rovi's interactive program guide (IPG) patent portfolio. Through the agreement, NDS will be able to continue to provide IPG and related technologies under the Rovi patents to its customers. The extension runs for an additional 5 year period and includes new, additional rights under the Rovi patents for secondary screens such as mobile devices, tablets and online applications.
