Financial Services and Big-Data Executive Mary Anne Keegan Joins Rapidly Growing BillGuard as CMO

Former Early Warning Services CMSO to Drive Growth Strategy for BillGuard's Award Winning Bill Monitoring and Resolution Management Service

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 8, 2012) - Finovate 2012 - BillGuard, the personal finance security company, today announced that Mary Anne Keegan has joined the company as its chief marketing officer (CMO). With over 15 years of successful executive leadership spanning consumer and financial services marketing, brand management and sales, Keegan is in a unique position to develop and execute BillGuard's marketing and communications strategies. She will continue to expand BillGuard's growing consumer presence while developing the company's financial and merchant services businesses.

Mary Anne joins BillGuard from Early Warning Services (EWS), a leader in fraud prevention and risk management services, where she was chief marketing and sales officer. In that role she oversaw all aspects of brand, sales and marketing services, and was instrumental in repeatedly driving positive revenue and triple-digit pipeline growth. Keegan brought to market the Early Warning brand in 2006 and broadened the company's marketing to include a commitment to thought leadership. She created the prestigious Early Warning Summit, bringing together hundreds of leading financial services executives and experts each year, to push forward the importance of collaboration to protect the financial eco-system against abusive and fraudulent payments, transactions and people. During her tenure, Early Warning received more than 30 national and global awards for marketing and media production.

"I'm thrilled and honored that Mary Anne believed in BillGuard's ambitious vision enough to join our journey at such an exciting but early stage," said Yaron Samid, founder and CEO. "Her impressive track record and breadth of uniquely relevant financial and merchant services experience combined with her contagious entrepreneurial spirit makes her the perfect partner in building our important company. We're protecting consumers via groundbreaking financial data collaboration and analytics. As employee number twenty at EWS Mary Anne went on to build the definitive brand of anti-fraud data collaboration for banks. As employee number twenty at BillGuard, I'm confident she will build the defining brand of personal finance security."

At Primary Payment Systems, EWS' predecessor-company, she helped develop and drive the company's brand vision and direction as the company expanded from 20 employees to over 200 employees, and experienced sizable financial growth. During this period she was instrumental in the marketing integration of two other companies and led the multi-stakeholder communication strategy amongst the country's four largest banks during the formation of EWS. Prior to EWS, Mary Anne held marketing positions at First Data, the world's largest provider of merchant processing services and at Xerox, where she managed channel marketing for North America and launched Xerox's first online channel portal.

"I am very excited to be joining this talented team and look forward to helping grow BillGuard into a reputable company and brand that defines consumer financial protection," said Keegan. "Social data and technology are the transformative agents that now connect all of us. Leveraging this to empower consumers to make sense of charges on their bills and resolve questionable transactions directly with merchants is game changing. I'm thrilled to be a part of a team that shares my passions and comes to work every day with big ideas to improve consumer financial safety. BillGuard's tagline, 'safer together,' is what we're striving for."
