The end-of-April short interest represents 4.17 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.97 days for the prior reporting period.
Short interest in 490 securities on The NASDAQ Capital MarketSM totaled 405,850,668 shares at the end of the settlement date of April 30, 2012 compared with 399,047,427 shares in 490 securities for the previous reporting period. This represents 6.69 days average daily volume, compared with the previous reporting period's figure of 5.24.
