PRGX Showcases Thought Leadership

ATLANTA, May 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PRGX Global, Inc. (Nasdaq:PRGX), the world's leading provider of recovery audit services and the pioneer in Profit Discovery™, is showcasing its thought leadership throughout the month of May.

In the first week of May, PRGX president and CEO Romil Bahl was recognized at TiECON Southeast as Top Corporate Intrapreneur of the year. Mr. Bahl received the award for his vision and ground-breaking thought leadership around Profit Discovery, a vision which is fueling PRGX's growth from new services built upon the company's Big Data Analytics capabilities.

"It was an honor to be chosen by the TiE organization as top intrapreneur – indeed to be on the final nominee list at all. At PRGX, along with integrity and customer-centricity, living and breathing an entrepreneurial culture is one of our top values, so our global team owns this award," said Bahl.

May 14th thru 16th, PRGX hosted several sessions at Fusion, the premier event of the Institute of Financial Operations, in Nashville, Tennessee. This event featured several PRGX leaders, among them Bruce Kelly, a Managing Director in PRGX's Business Analytics & Advisory services area. Bruce moderated a panel of top performers in AP Productivity and explored best practices that these organizations have adopted to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their financial and shared services operations. Panelists included Suzanne Fassler, AP Director at JC Penney, Eric Jones, Corporate Payables Director at Lowe's and Tom Lyman, AP Director at Safety-Kleen Systems. Each of these companies was identified as a top-performing AP organization in the most recent PRGX AP Productivity Index.

"Our study has identified eight best practices consistently deployed in top-performing AP organizations. Our panelists shared their experiences and highlighted the challenges they faced, as well as the results they have been able to achieve by implementing these practices," said Kelly.

In addition, PRGX's Charisse Jacques, Principal in the Business Analytics & Advisory services area, will lead a session on Optimizing Vendor Funding Visibility to Improve Profitability on Tuesday May 22nd at the Financial Executive Conference organized by the Food Marketing Institute. Jacques will discuss why finance and accounting departments are in a unique position to bridge the knowledge gap that exists when vendor funding, in the form of discounts, allowances and supports, is dispersed across multiple departments.

"Retailers can uncover additional value from their transactional data. Improving visibility of the true financial impact of all vendor funding can empower merchants and be a platform for a new type of partnership between grocery retailers and their vendors," Jacques said.
