Rubicon Expands Design/Build Construction Management Team

Company Sees Strong Mission-Critical Facility Construction Growth Nationwide

HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - May 17, 2012) - Rubicon Professional Services, a leading national provider of full-service energy management, consulting, engineering, and construction management for mission-critical facilities, announced today that Erick Detloff has been promoted to Vice President of Special Projects. Previously, Detloff was the company's Midwest Regional Manager. Detloff's promotion is in response to strong demand nationwide for enterprise construction project management and energy services concerns while reinforcing Rubicon's commitment to provide a turnkey, cost-effective solution via managing the entire process of building critical facilities such as data and communications centers.

Detloff brings to Rubicon nearly three decades of technology-based construction project management in the greater Chicago area for such industry leaders as Telx, Digital Realty Trust and others. His project management expertise -- in both design/build and general build-outs of new and renovation projects -- includes facilities ranging from 500 to 100,000 square feet. Detloff's extensive experience in all phases of project planning, budgeting, value engineering, scheduling, design/build and general construction -- in addition to his top-notch contacts in the subcontractor and equipment markets and equipment purchase, will offer Rubicon clients enhanced project efficiencies and additional cost savings. Prior to joining Rubicon, Detloff was senior project manager for numerous Chicago-based projects including those for Telx, Digital Realty Trust, Cyber Center and Northern Trust Bank Data Centers.

"The inexhaustible need to securely contain, and quickly transport data, continues to drive the need to construct new mission-critical facilities throughout the Midwest," stated Bill Pirrone, President, Rubicon Professional Services. "However, the complexity of constructing these facilities continues to escalate project costs, prolong schedules and exceed budgets. Rubicon was created to assume all construction responsibilities utilizing seasoned experts who leverage deep industry relationships, to ensure time frames and budgets are strictly enforced. Erick Detloff embodies this experience and will continue to be a valued member of our management team."

Rubicon Professional Services provides customers with innovative solutions for mission-critical facility design and construction. Unlike traditional general contractors, Rubicon's professional engineers deliver unique alternatives for building or upgrading core facilities -- from design/build and construction management to energy services and equipment integration.
