San Diego Chiropractor Licensed to Testify in Personal Injury and Workman's Compensation Trials

SAN DIEGO, May 27, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- San Diego chiropractor Dr. Kien Ta, who runs CK Chiropractic, is board certified by the American Medical Board of Independent Medical and Chiropractic Examiners to testify in personal injury trials. He is also certified by the State of California as a licensed Medical Evaluator in workman's compensation cases. So far, he has treated over 10,000 patients suffering back and neck pain resulting from personal and work injuries. As an official Industrial Disability Examiner certified in the American Medical Association (AMA) Impairment Rating System, he treats injured patients going through complex legal cases, many of whom were turned away by other chiropractors due to legal concerns.

Dr. Ta explains why he readily accepts patients undergoing personal workman's compensation legal battles: "When I realized so many people suffering from work injury pain could not find a San Diego chiropractor who would treat them, let alone go to court with them, I decided to earn the certifications and qualifications necessary to be the chiropractor who could help them." According to Dr. Ta, he studied hundreds of hours to earn the required licensing to stand as an expert witness in personal injury and work injury trials in California.

Dr. Ta says that his certification using the AMA Impairment Rating System is particularly helpful during personal and work injury trials. The rating system gives chiropractors and doctors a set of measurable diagnostic tests and standards they can use to rank how much a person's injury has decreased their ability to perform normal daily functions. The ranking then provides the judge or jury a clearer picture of how much a patient's headaches, neck, wrist or back pain inhibits them from performing normal work activities. This makes it easier for judgments to be made during trials.

Dr. Ta says that many patients looking for injury experts seek him out because he can provide treatment for their injuries and help them receive fair settlements, even if their cases are settled out of court. He says he commonly treats workers suffering from a number of injuries, including repetitive motion injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome. He also treats many cases of whiplash sustained in car accidents, slip and falls and sports accidents. In the office, these injuries are diagnosed according to the AMA rating system. Then he treats injuries through a combination of spinal and musculoskeletal adjustments and physiotherapy techniques such as massage therapy.

Dr. Ta urges accident victims not to give up hope of recovery. "Our chiropractic and massage therapies have helped thousands of patients feel better, and my trial experience has given them peace of mind they needed when trying to get a fair settlement. Adversity can change us for the better if we do not give in."

Dr. Ta is a licensed Qualified Medical Evaluator with the State of California and earned his fellowship with the Academy of Forensic Industrial Chiropractic Consultants in 2009. His website is http://ckchiro.com.
