Franchise Foundry and franchisEssentials Enter Strategic Partnership With Official Merger on the Horizon

franchisEssentials CEO, Paul Segreto, Named Chief Development Officer of Franchise Foundry as Part of the Strategic Alliance

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, May 30, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- franchisEssentials, a consultancy, marketing and development organization for franchise concepts, announced today that it has entered a strategic partnership agreement with venture capital firm, Franchise Foundry. Although a formal merger of the two brands is still forthcoming, franchisEssentials is immediately moving forward as the consulting arm of Franchise Foundry with the President and CEO of franchisEssentials, Paul Segreto, serving as the Foundry's Chief Development Officer.

In his new role, Segreto will spearhead operations aimed at improving unit-economics of the Foundry's current brand portfolio, as well as attracting new franchise brands for acquisition, partnership or turnaround.

"The leadership and reputation of our two brands are long-standing staples within franchising," said Segreto. "Combining the two, and capitalizing on the strengths of each, allows us to offer a broader range of services and provide additional focus and quality to developing growth and improving a variety of franchise systems."

As the consulting arm of Franchise Foundry, franchisEssentials will administer franchise management and development services which include franchise operations and support, franchise compliance, sales and development, as well as customer service and providing interim c-level management for franchise companies. Additionally, franchisEssentials will develop and implement franchise rescue and turnaround strategy, change and transition strategy as well as acquisition and partnership investment and match-making.

"We are thrilled to provide our expertise and knowledge to the extensive list of Franchise Foundry brands," said Segreto. "Our mission is to continue growing and extending our reach and influence throughout all of franchising, and the Foundry is the perfect organization to make that happen," he added.

Despite this merger, franchisEssentials will retain its other branches, brands and divisions that will continue to act independent of Franchise Foundry. FranchisEssentials Media Group, the social media and digital marketing organization nestled under the franchisEssentials brand, will continue to serve as its own entity. Other ventures of Paul Segreto, often closely tied with FranchisEssentials brands, will also continue their normal operations. These include: Franchise Today on Blog Talk Radio; FranSummit, a virtual events platform; and Franchise Essentials Magazine which is scheduled to launch mid-summer 2012.

Segreto did point out that on certain occasions all of the aforementioned entities may be called upon to provide services to benefit current and future clients of Franchise Foundry and may sometimes contribute through a relationship with Franchise Foundry.
