BNP Paribas CIB Names Global Head of Rates Trading


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Jun 6, 2012) - BNP Paribas' Corporate and Investment Bank announces that it has appointed Christian Mundigo Global Head of Rates Trading. This new responsibility comes on top of his existing duties as Co-Head of Fixed Income Americas and Fixed Income Executive Committee member. Mr. Mundigo brings with him more than 20 years' experience in the Rates business at BNP Paribas and will remain based in New York City. In his new role, Mr. Mundigo will report to Guillaume Amblard, Global Head of Fixed Income and Trading, based in London.

This appointment further emphasizes the Bank's commitment to building a truly global leadership team and underscores the Americas as a region of importance to its Fixed Income business.

Prior to his current appointments, Mr. Mundigo was most recently acting Head of Fixed Income Trading in the Americas and Global Co-Head of Credit Trading. He was responsible for overseeing Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate, and Credit Trading throughout the US, Canada and Latin America.

Mr. Mundigo joined BNP Paribas in 1991 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University.
