Racing legend presents Formula One Supremo Bernie Ecclestone with ticket to F1(TM) USGP


Montreal, Canada, June 10, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MONTREAL, Canada (June 10, 2012) - Circuit of The Americas Official Ambassador Mario Andretti visited the Grand Prix du Canada today with representatives of the Austin, Texas, sports and entertainment facility and presented Formula One Supremo Bernie Ecclestone with a complimentary ticket to the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ set for Nov. 16-18, 2012.  Tickets to the race are on sale now-- starting at $159 for a three-day general admission ticket--and are selling quickly.

Andretti updated Ecclestone on progress at the 3.4-mile purpose-built Circuit, which Andretti visited on June 7.  Additionally, Andretti visited with Formula 1™ team members and drivers, including seven-time Formula One World Championship driver Michael Schumacher of the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team.  The racing superstar also met with members of the media to encourage them to visit Central Texas in the fall.
