Ecology and Environment, Inc., Reports a Decrease in Third Quarter Earnings


LANCASTER, N.Y., June 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ecology and Environment, Inc., (E & E) (Nasdaq:EEI) reported consolidated revenues for the third quarter of fiscal year 2012 of $36.0 million, a decrease of $5.1 million or 12% from the $41.1 million reported in the third quarter of fiscal year 2011. Revenue less subcontracts was $30.0 million for the quarter compared to $33.5 million in the third quarter of fiscal year 2011, a decrease of 10% from the level in fiscal year 2011. Net income for the third quarter of fiscal year 2012 was $56,000 or $.01 per share, down from the $1.4 million or $.34 per share reported in the prior year.
