ONCE TV MEXICO to Provide Special News Coverage of the Presidential Elections in Mexico 2012


MIAMI, June 28, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With voters heading to the polls this Sunday to elect a new President of the Republic of Mexico, ONCE TV MÉXICO has announced plans today to provide extensive and comprehensive news coverage throughout the day. The election coverage will be anchored by the channel's leading broadcast journalists, including Adriana Pérez Canedo, Cristina Pacheco Guadalupe Contreras, Irma Pérez Lince, Omar Haddad, Fernanda Tapia, Miguel Conde and Ricardo Raphael.

As part of the special election coverage, which will also include results of the 500-member Chamber of Duties seats and 128 member seats in the Senate, ONCE TV MÉXICO will feature political commentary by analysts Ezra Shabot, Sergio Aguayo, Maria Amparo Casar, Lorenzo Meyer, Leonardo Curzio, José Antonio Crespo and Francisco Paoli Bolio.

Beginning at 5:00AM on July 1, 2012, ONCE TV MÉXICO kicks off its special coverage and will broadcast a special news report every hour. At 3:00PM, ONCE TV MÉXICO will air "Coverage with Cristina Pacheco," when Ms. Pacheco continues to analyze the results and takes questions from the audience.

ONCE TV MÉXICO's special election coverage will also include:

  • "Comments on the Election Day," airing at 5:00PM and hosted by Adriana Pérez Canedo, Ricardo Raphael and Ezra Shabot, who will present the most important information of the presidential elections in Mexico.
     
  • "Primer Plano," airing at 7:00PM and featuring a panel of analysts.
     
  • Journalist Adriana Pérez Canedo closes the Mexican election coverage at 9:00PM, presenting the most relevant information of the day.
