Copenhagen, 2012-07-02 10:18 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On 21 March 2012, Alm. Brand Bank A/S announced that, based on its strong liquidity position, the bank will prepay DKK 2 billion worth of state-guaranteed bonds with ISIN code DK0030251525 (value date 30 June 2012). The prepayment of the bonds was effected today.
On 30 June 2010, the bank issued state-guaranteed bonds under Bank Package II for a total amount of DKK 6 billion maturing on 30 June 2013. Including today's buyback and cancellation of state-guaranteed bonds in the amount of DKK 2 billion, the bank has prepaid state-guaranteed bonds for an aggregate amount of DKK 4 billion in 2012, thereby reducing the total principal of the bank's state-guaranteed bonds to DKK 2 billion.
The prepayments have no impact on the financial guidance of Alm. Brand Bank for 2012.
