BPZ Energy Announces Change to Board of Directors


HOUSTON, July 2, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BPZ Energy (NYSE:BPZ) (BVL:BPZ), an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, announced today that Gordon Gray, a member of the Board of Directors of BPZ Resources, Inc. (the Company) has decided to resign from the Board and from all positions with the Company's subsidiaries for personal reasons, effective June 27, 2012. There were no disagreements between the Company and Mr. Gray on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies or practices.
