Finnair in talks about selling a part of its engine service operations to GA Telesis

Finnair is in talks about the possible sale of a part of its engine service operations to GA Telesis, a US based  company serving airlines and aviation maintenance organizations worldwide. On April 11 Finnair announced that it plans to discontinue its engine operations at Helsinki Airport.

The possible sale of a part of Finnair’s engine operations could save approximately 75 jobs, as GA Telesis would continue to run engine service operations at Helsinki Airport. Finnair Engine Services provides engine service operations to a number of non-Finnair customers, and it is this part of the operations that is under discussion with GA Telesis. At this point, there is no guarantee that these discussions would lead to an actual deal.

Finnair’s plans to source the engine and component services for Finnair’s aircraft from SR Technics remain unchanged.
