In celebration of the award an annual breakfast was held to honor The Fierro Group and other award recipients. The goal of the breakfast was aimed towards recognizing those companies who have made the greatest contribution to diversity and economic opportunity for locally owned, small and minority based companies in the Houston area. CenterPoint's CEO, David McClanahan, was in attendance to present the award to The Fierro Group including Teresa Flores, Ruben Flores Sr., Ruben Flores Jr., and Mike Dishongh.
